Yscript Consortium Comes Together in Portugal: Successful 1st Progress Meeting in Beautiful Spring Setting

On March 22 and 23, the Yscript partners met in Aveiro for their 1st Progress Meeting. Welcomed by our Portuguese partners, University of Aveiro and University of Beira Interior, the consortium found perfect conditions to reflect on the first project year and prepare upcoming tasks. As not everyone could be in Aveiro in person, the meeting was held in a hybrid format. This also enabled the EC Project Officer, Joao Lopes, to join in – which was highly appreciated.

In preparation of the upcoming Periodic Report and Review Meeting, Joao Lopes informed the partners of important structures and steps to be taken as well as the details of the reporting and review procedures. The meeting also offered all teams the opportunity to present their progress and results so far which sparked important and constructive discussions on how to proceed and how to foster close collaboration among the Work Packages.

A joint IP management workshop as well as more information on the internal procedures to prepare the report and review meeting, followed by a more general discussion on consortium level were also part of the event.

A boat trip on the Aveiro canals and a joint dinner rounded off the busy meeting schedule, leaving the participants with spring vibes and the certainty that Aveiro is worth a travel whenever there is the time for it. The partners were delighted to meet in person and are eager to continue the successful development of Yscript in the upcoming years. The team is already looking forward to meeting in Poznan in 2024!
