Institut National de Recherche pour l’Agriculture, l’Alimentation et l’Environnement

INRAE, France’s National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment, aims to carry out science dedicated to life, humans, and the Earth that uncovers solutions to our most pressing concerns. It is participating in the Yscript project via its TWB unit who sets up and conducts R&D projects in the field of industrial biotechnologies in collaboration with public laboratories and industrial players. The expertise of TWB covers a broad scope of industrial biotechnology: synthetic biology, enzyme engineering, metabolic engineering, fermentation, separation and purification processes and state-of-the-art analytical techniques. Microorganisms (bacteria, yeasts, filamentous fungi, micro-algae), enzymes and microbia consortia are the main biological tools. Biosourced plastics & chemicals, cosmetics, food products & biopharmaceuticals are among the fields covered by TWB.

Role within Yscript

In Yscript, INRAE TWB is leader for work package 2 focusing on development and scale-up of robust bioprocess to produce mRNA in yeast.

Our vision for Yscript

We are very proud to participate in this major project which proposes a disruptive solution for the production of therapeutic mRNA.
